We will provide you with the training and development opportunities needed to build a career here!**About The Role:**Our 2-Year Production Internship in Lenexa is built for driven students who want more than a typical campus job. This is your chance to gain real business experience, develop professional skills, and earn serious money — all while finishing your degree.As a Production Intern working as a Loan Specialist, you’ll be the friendly voice guiding borrowers through the first step of their VA home loan journey. You’ll connect with people who are already interested, help them understand their options, and set them up for success. Our marketing team brings in the leads, and you help turn conversations into progress.This is not a coffee-run internship. You’ll be in production, learning sales strategy, financial basics, communication skills, and time management in a fast-paced environment. It’s demanding, but incredibly rewarding — especially when you see your paycheck reflect your effort.Interns work full-time during the summer and part-time during the academic year, giving you consistent income and experience throughout your final two years of school.Here’s a snapshot of what you’d be doing:* Connecting with interested borrowers and building strong relationships over the phone.* Running credit through our online system and helping identify loan options that fit their goals.* Clearly explaining next steps in the loan process so borrowers feel confident moving forward.* Gathering and organizing documentation to keep files on track toward closing.* Partnering with Loan Officers and internal teams to ensure a smooth experience.* Contributing to team goals and learning how performance directly impacts your income.**About You:*** You’re motivated by goals and excited about the opportunity to earn commission while still in school.* You’re confident on the phone and can hold professional conversations with ease.* You balance school, work, and responsibilities without dropping the ball.* You’re competitive in a healthy way and love seeing your effort translate into results.* You’re adaptable, coachable, and open to feedback.* You show up consistently and can be counted on to get the job done.**Hours & Compensation:*** Full-time hours in the summer and part-time during the academic year.* Flex hours are anytime between 12pm-10pm Monday-Friday, and 8am-10pm on the weekend.
