Sales Operations Project Managers focus on driving sales growth by optimizing sales strategies, overseeing the implementation of sales projects, and managing sales resources. They liaise between sales, marketing, and other departments to ensure that the sales team has the tools and resources needed to achieve their targets. The main objective of the Sales Operations Project Manager is to ensure the smooth running of all sales projects from inception to completion and navigate all the cross-functional efforts required for each project.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement project plans, risk assessments and contingency plans
Design and maintain business requirements and project documentation
Identify and manage project dependencies
Track project milestones and deliverables
Coordinate cross-functional teams
Report on project progress, offer viable solutions and opportunities as they arise
Implement and manage change when necessary to meet project outputs
Evaluate and assess the results of the project
Develop and implement sales projects that align with the company’s strategic objectives
Use customer feedback to generate ideas about new features or products
Research and discover methods to increase customer engagement
Liaise with the marketing and product development departments to ensure brand consistency and increase sales as part of GTMs
Build an open-communication environment for your team
Coordinate with the IT department to optimize sales technology and CRM
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Sales Operations Project Manager/ IT Project Manager
Experience in sales, project management, or related field
Strong decision-making and leadership abilities
Experience in managing resources, scheduling, reporting, and adhering to quality control and timely deliver
Strong background in IT sales, excellent leadership abilities, and outstanding project management skills
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Nice to have
BSc/BA in business administration, sales or relevant field; PMP or equivalent certification
SAFe; Lean Six sigma, Scrum or any Agile certification
