A global financial institution with a growing U.S. commercial banking platform is seeking a

Vice President – Relationship Manager

to join its

Commercial Real Estate lending team

in New York. This role will focus on originating and managing relationships with institutional real estate clients while overseeing the full credit lifecycle from deal sourcing through portfolio monitoring. The position offers strong exposure to complex real estate financings and direct collaboration with senior credit and risk stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

Develop and expand relationships with institutional real estate sponsors, operators, and investment groups to originate lending opportunities. Evaluate financing opportunities and structure transactions in partnership with internal credit and risk teams. Lead the underwriting process by coordinating financial analysis, due diligence, and preparation of credit materials. Partner with internal analysts to gather and review borrower information, financial statements, and supporting documentation required for credit approval. Present transactions to internal credit committees and work cross-functionally with legal, credit, and operations teams throughout the approval process. Oversee transaction execution and closing, ensuring all documentation and internal requirements are satisfied in a timely manner. Act as the primary relationship contact for clients, maintaining regular communication and identifying additional banking opportunities. Monitor the performance of existing loan exposures, including borrower financials, collateral performance, and market conditions. Identify early risk indicators within the portfolio and coordinate with internal stakeholders to address potential credit concerns. Maintain accurate client records, reporting, and internal documentation in accordance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
