Description About the Role
Our Community Engagement Specialist is a key team member in fostering meaningful connections between Astrana Health and the community we serve. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining partnerships with community-based organizations to support membership retention and growth. The specialist will lead community engagement efforts, help coordinate events and implement outreach strategies.

What You'll Do
Build and sustain strong relationships with community-based organizations to promote membership growth and retention.
Lead community engagement initiatives that enhance the organization’s visibility and trust within diverse communities.
Plan, organize, and execute community events, including:
Senior expos and health fairs
Doc Talks/Lunch & Learns
Sponsorships
Astrana hosted events (fun social events)
SWAG Center Activities
Track lead generation from grassroots activities and ensure timely follow-up to convert leads into members.
Maintain monthly event invite email blast through Campaign Monitor or another platform.
Collaborate with team to develop and implement outreach and marketing strategies tailored to senior population.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent - bonus to have an Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Social Work, Public Health, or a related field preferred.
1–3 years of experience in patient engagement, care coordination, or healthcare customer service.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with diverse patient populations.
Familiarity with healthcare systems, medical terminology, and insurance navigation (Medicare and Medicaid knowledge is a plus).
Bilingual (Spanish or other languages) preferred but not required.
Proficiency in EHR systems and administrative platforms; ability to document accurately and manage multiple systems simultaneously.
Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively, multitask, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
Passion for patient-centered care and improving health outcomes in underserved communities.

The department for this position is aligned with our Corporate Office at 8880 W Sunset Rd, Suite 320, Las Vegas, NV 89148, but this position will be primarily in the field at Community Events, Health Fairs, and broker meetings.
Must have reliable transportation
The national target pay range for this role is $46,000 - $63,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location (current or future), experience, and other job-related factors.
