Manager, Risk | Retail Bank Premium Products & Experiences. At Capital One, we’re on a mission to Change Banking for Good. Our Premium Products and Experiences (PPX) business drives the strategy behind spectacularly rewarding and seamless experiences for our premium customers, including the Venture X credit card. PPX Risk Advisors provide risk perspective to leaders, asking great questions, testing assumptions, and challenging conventional thinking. We are influencers, analysts, and problem solvers with a track record of high‑impact results. In this Risk Advisor role, you will provide professional risk judgment that enables PPX business partners to tackle major business challenges, including engaging SME stakeholders and researching solutions independently. You will influence and support well‑managed business process excellence to ensure PPX delivers on promises to customers, including identifying and improving the control environment. Responsibilities

Develop a deep understanding of business strategies, products, services, and risk profile. Advise and consult with business teams to develop well‑designed products, features, experiences, and supporting technologies in alignment with risk management policies and practices. Support business partners to drive risk/return trade‑off decisions and recommend necessary control and/or monitoring activities. Serve as a liaison, interfacing with business partners, Tech, and other assurance functions such as legal and compliance, to drive meaningful reductions in risk. Analyze and synthesize data and reporting to proactively identify risks and trends and provide insights that support decision‑making. Ensure independent escalation of risk management gaps, issues, and concerns to senior business and risk leaders, including emerging risks and regulatory focus areas. Identify, understand, and assess the impact of the changing regulatory environment on business objectives and risk appetite through Enterprise Risk Assessments. Assess controls and glean insights from issues and events across business areas. Drive containment and remediation of process breakdowns in collaboration with compliance, legal, and business process teams. Identify opportunities to improve risk management practices and develop solutions to reduce administration, eliminate waste, and deliver an exceptional customer experience. Audit and exam management – provide support to PPX business during audits and regulatory exams; support delivery of key risk mitigation and remediation activities. Basic Qualifications:

At least 3 years of Financial Services Risk Management or Compliance experience or credit card product experience; at least 3 years of Project Management experience. Preferred Qualifications:

4+ years credit card product, servicing, or credit risk management experience; 5+ years of Project Management experience leading cross‑functional projects; 1+ years experience in an Agile environment; Certified Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) or Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM); baseline familiarity with AI; Lean, Agile, Six Sigma or Business Process Management certification.
