Read further to learn more. What’s the biggest misconception people have about working at Rentokil Terminix? One of the most common misconceptions about working at Rentokil Terminix is that our colleagues operate mostly independently. Many people assume that because frontline team members are often out in the field and many corporate or support roles are remote, employees work in isolation. In reality, many managers act more like mentors, colleagues are always ready to support one another, and there’s a strong collaborative culture. Even though we’re spread out geographically, the people here genuinely want to help each other succeed and are willing to go the extra mile. How can candidates make a lasting impression when speaking with hiring managers? Do your research! Understanding on a deeper level what the organization does and the expectations of the role are the strongest ways candidates can make a lasting impression when speaking with hiring managers. When candidates reference recent company news, key initiatives, or specific points from the job description, it shows genuine interest and preparedness. It elevates the conversation, demonstrates enthusiasm, and is likely to make a much more memorable interview. What’s one thing a candidate did that truly stood out to you, and how could it inspire other candidates? One thing that truly stands out is a candidate’s ability to connect their previous experience to multiple aspects of the role, even if they haven’t worked in the exact field before. These candidates take the time to thoughtfully consider how their skills, accomplishments, and prior positions translate to a specific role. They don’t just hope I will see the connection; they articulate it clearly, showing they’ve reflected on their preparedness. This approach could be inspiring for other candidates because it demonstrates that you don’t need to be a perfect match. Your experience matters, but understanding how that experience applies and being able to communicate it confidently often matters just as much.
