THE JOB AT A GLANCE The Head: Broker Intermediary is accountable for developing, executing, and governing the national broker and intermediary strategy for RMA’s Commercial & Partnerships division. The role ensures that broker partners are effectively segmented, supported, and optimised to drive profitable growth, enhance customer experience, strengthen compliance posture, and deliver Shared Social Value in line with RMA’s commercial and societal mandates. What You Will Do

Strategy & Leadership Develop the national Broker & Intermediary Channel Strategy, aligned to the approved target operating model and C&P segment strategy. Lead execution of the segmentation model (Platinum, Gold, Silver, Essential) ensuring differentiated service models per tier. Define the channel growth strategy, including national broker acquisition, segment migration, and market penetration plans. Drive digital transformation for the broker channel, including digital enablement, tools, broker portals and data-driven insights. Broker Relationship & Portfolio Management Strengthen and manage strategic partnerships with national broker houses, networks and key intermediary partners. Implement a value-based performance model incorporating profitability, retention, claims quality and compliance, to optimise broker panels. Govern escalations, service issues and improve end-to-end broker experience through cross-functional coordination. Ensure effective distribution of product and marketing support to brokers through Channel Marketing and Partner Marketing teams. Governance, Risk & Compliance Establish and maintain a Broker Governance Framework aligned to COFI, FAIS, TCF and Group LRC requirements. Drive broker due diligence, onboarding and continuous compliance monitoring. Ensure adherence to Integrated Governance requirements and quality assurance standards across the channel. Partner with Risk, Compliance, Legal and QA to close audit findings and maintain a sustainable regulatory position. Social Impact & Market Development Integrate Social Impact Programmes into broker partnerships in line with RMA’s Shared Social Value mandate. Identify opportunities for joint community and impact initiatives with strategic brokers. Track and report on social impact outcomes delivered through broker-led partnerships. Data, Analytics & Reporting Build a data-led broker insights model with Group Data & Analytics and Customer teams. Track and report on broker channel performance, including revenue, pipeline, market share, retention and loss ratios. Use insights to refine segmentation, performance management, and broker development strategies. People Leadership & Capability Development Lead and develop the Broker & Intermediary team nationally. Establish a Broker Capability Framework and annual broker academy programme in partnership with Learning & Development. Job Requirements

What You’ll Bring to the Table Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree is advantageous. Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in the life insurance industry, with a strong background in broker/intermediary sales. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing a broker distribution network. Experience in managing and developing high-performance teams. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities. Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset. In-depth knowledge of the life insurance industry and broker channels. Ability to analyse data and make informed business decisions. Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in the life insurance sector.
