Salary:

$90,000 to $100,000 Annually, Depending on Experience Leads the visual and user experience design of Museum of the Bible’s digital presence. This role is responsible for shaping cohesive brand expression across digital platforms while building scalable design systems that ensure consistency, usability, and performance. This is a strategic, hands-on design role. You will own major web initiatives, evolve digital brand standards, and develop robust Figma-based design systems that support marketing campaigns, exhibit launches, and ongoing web updates. While familiarity with CMS platforms is important, this role focuses primarily on design strategy, system thinking, and execution excellence. Duties and Responsibilities: Lead the design of web experiences, landing pages, and digital campaigns from concept through launch. Develop and maintain a scalable digital design system in Figma, including components, tokens, layout structures, and documentation. Ensure brand consistency across web, email, digital advertising, and emerging digital touchpoints. Translate brand standards into cohesive digital frameworks that support both marketing and institutional goals. Collaborate closely with developers to ensure accurate implementation of design systems and responsive layouts. Provide art direction and brand guidance for digital campaigns and key initiatives. Conduct UX reviews and recommend improvements to user flows, accessibility, and visual hierarchy. Support and guide content updates within the CMS, ensuring design integrity is maintained across evolving web content. Mentor junior designers and elevate digital design standards across the team. Stay current on UX trends, digital branding practices, and evolving web technologies. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Digital Design, UX/UI, or related field. 5+ years of professional experience in digital design, with strong emphasis on web and branding. Advanced proficiency in Figma, including design systems, component libraries, prototyping, and collaboration workflows. Demonstrated experience building and maintaining scalable digital design systems. Strong portfolio showing web design, digital brand execution, and system-level thinking. Working knowledge of CMS platforms (Prismic or similar) and comfort collaborating on content updates. Understanding of front-end principles (responsive design, grid systems, accessibility standards). Skills: Strong digital brand sensibility and systems-oriented mindset. Deep understanding of layout, typography, interaction patterns, and responsive behavior. Ability to think strategically while executing at a high level of craft. Confident presenting and defending design rationale to stakeholders. Organized, process-driven, and detail-oriented. Collaborative leader who raises the standard of digital execution across the team.
