**Preferences:**Doctoral degree. Three (3) years or more as a University of Maryland

College Park PTK Faculty member in the highest rank. Experience with designing, managing, and facilitating workshops and events is preferred. Experience with the University of Maryland College Park University Senate (e.g., Senator, Committee Member) is preferred. Experience with Title IX or other misconduct proceedings or appeals. Experience with the PTK faculty promotion process.Desired Characteristics of Associate Director:● Open minded.

● Fair and ethical.● Understands the significance, necessity, and requirements of confidentiality and processes stipulated in University/USM policies and

procedures.

● Understands that OFA works on behalf of and for the Senior Vice President and Provost.

● Able to navigate difficult conversations regarding personnel matters.

● Calm and unflappable.

● Able to build consensus by ensuring that all views are heard and

concerns addressed.

● Patient enough to let the process run until there is consensus.

● Respect of others.

● Committed to understanding root causes of issues for recommending

appropriate actions.
