Blonder Tongue LLC is seeking a
Technical Support / Sales Engineer
to support, promote, and sell our broadband, video, and RF/IP distribution solutions. This role bridges technical expertise and customer-facing sales, working closely with customers, distributors, and internal teams to drive adoption and revenue while ensuring excellent technical support.
Key Responsibilities
Provide
pre-sales and post-sales technical support
for Blonder Tongue products (RF, IP video, DOCSIS, QAM, OTT/IPTV, headend solutions).
Partner with sales to
identify customer needs , propose solutions, and deliver technical presentations and demos.
Assist customers with
system design, configuration, commissioning, and troubleshooting .
Respond to technical inquiries via phone, email, and remote sessions; escalate issues as needed.
Support
proof-of-concepts, trials, and field deployments .
Develop and maintain
application notes, solution guides, and FAQs .
Deliver
product training
to customers, distributors, and internal sales teams.
Provide feedback from the field to engineering and product management to influence roadmap and improvements.
Support trade shows, customer visits, and occasional travel.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in
Engineering, Telecommunications, Networking , or equivalent experience.
5+ years in
technical support, sales engineering, or field applications
within telecom, CATV, or IP video.
Strong understanding of
RF fundamentals , IP networking (TCP/IP, multicast, VLANs), and video transport.
Experience with
QAM, MPEG-TS, OTT/IPTV, DOCSIS , or similar technologies preferred.
Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Self-motivated, customer-focused, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to travel (up to ~25%).
Nice to Have
Experience with MSOs, hospitality (MDU/SMATV), enterprise video, or broadcast markets.
Hands-on experience with
headend equipment , analyzers, and test tools.
Familiarity with CRM tools and technical ticketing systems.
