Secret Or ability to obtain Thorben Consulting, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and communicative SAP Financial Functional Consultant to support the implementation and sustainment of federal travel management solutions. This role focuses on federal travel processes and requires a strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA configuration, federal travel regulations, and the ability to bridge technical and non-technical communities. The ideal candidate will bring experience in data cleansing and transformation, Business Partner Integration, and Master Data Governance (MDG) to support data conversion and master data alignment efforts. In this position, you will work with our Federal customer to provide functional support for travel management systems integrated with SAP S/4HANA. You will develop and execute test scripts, create comprehensive documentation, and provide Tier 2/3 support to ensure system reliability and user satisfaction. Your expertise in federal travel processes and SAP configuration will be critical to ensuring compliance with Federal Travel Regulations and supporting the successful implementation and ongoing sustainment of travel management solutions. This is a remote position with a Monday to Friday schedule. Key Responsibilities
Provide functional support for travel management solutions, including integration with SAP S/4HANA and related financial systems Communicate complex system integrations and processes clearly to non-technical user communities Develop, execute, and document test scripts for system validation and user acceptance testing Interpret and apply technical and functional documentation, standards, and interface specifications Support the development of functional documentation, including business process flows, configuration guides, and user manuals Document internal work processes, procedures, and decision points to support operational transparency and continuity Assist with system administration and configuration of travel management systems Provide Tier 2/3 help desk support and troubleshooting for travel-related issues Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine business requirements for enhancements and interface development Ensure compliance with Federal Travel Regulations (FTR) and applicable federal travel policies Perform data cleansing, mapping, and transformation activities to support data conversion from legacy systems to SAP S/4HANA Support Business Partner Integration and Master Data Governance efforts to ensure consistency and accuracy of travel-related master data Maintain a high level of attention to detail and demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills Qualifications
Required
Candidate must be a US Citizen Secret security clearance or ability to obtain one 5-8+ years of experience with SAP S/4HANA and financial systems Experience configuring SAP S/4HANA Travel Management for travel requests, approvals, and expense reporting Strong understanding of federal travel processes and Federal Travel Regulations (FTR) Experience with data conversion projects, including cleansing, transformation, and validation Experience with Business Partner Integration and/or Master Data Governance (MDG) in SAP environments Demonstrated ability to develop and execute test scripts for system validation Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to interact with diverse stakeholders Experience documenting internal workflows and standard operating procedures (SOPs) US Citizenship and ability to obtain a Federal Clearance Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field Familiarity with SAP Public Sector Management and USSGL obligation posting models Experience with Concur Government Edition (CGE) or similar travel solutions Knowledge of GSA ETS2 or similar federal travel systems Experience with S/4HANA for Public Sector Ready to Apply?
