Lockton is currently seeking a self-motivated Proposal Writer, familiar with constructing RFP answers, project management, marketing and writing for corporate audiences.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

High Level

• Responsible for the creation and editing of proposals (not sales decks or final presentations; this role partners closely with the Lockton Founders Series Creative Services Team, who own document design and presentation).
• Initiate writing and coordinate activities associated with the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, ensuring high-quality service and alignment with Lockton's Branding Guidelines.
• Create and maintain a library of up-to-date RFP information and resources in Loopio, including answer creation and research, by working with SMEs, monitoring Workplace/Knowledge Center, and collaborating with team Associates.
• Participate in resolving issues related to the RFP process, ensuring follow-through to resolution. Including provide feedback and recommendations to the COO and Marketing Director to help establish a best-in-class user experience strategy.
• Demonstrate effective communication with cross-functional partners and executives; assist with training for RFP users.

Specific

• Load RFPs into Loopio and manage RFP projects.
  • Support the integration of Loopio (newly rolled out in Jan 2025) and other Lockton resources where appropriate.
• Create project-specific timelines.
• Assist with and conduct designated kick-off calls to initiate new projects.
• Utilize Loopio "Magic" to generate draft responses.
• Provide strategic support for RFP Finalist presentation templates, processes, and guidance to Producers and Associates.
• Collaborate with the design team to support the design process efficiently.
• Identify and enhance critical service workflows that can be streamlined or improved; recommend appropriate improvements.

Requirements:

Minimum Requirements:

• Knowledge of insurance industry (benefits and/or property/casualty) required - generally obtained with at least 5 years' experience
• Experience working with Lockton or similar employer strongly preferred
• Outstanding communications skills:
• Facilitating and leading meetings and training in person and virtually
• Writing professional, accurate, and grammatically correct content for RFPs and presentations
• Proofreading
• Collaborating with team members and other Associates
• Maintaining tight timelines and effectively encouraging adherence with other
  
  Within 3 months, you will:
• Develop a working knowledge of existing technology platforms, how they integrate, and how best to support their use
• Maintain and enhance efficient workflows for RFP responses
• Be able to perform basic activities in Loopio including uploading RFP questions, doing preliminary "Magic", exporting to Workfront
• The "Magic" Tool is Loopio's version of AI, which will help automate the first draft of an RFP answer, based on content in your Loopio Library
• Workfront is the Project Management software that Creative Services uses. RFP Requests get input into Workfront and the finalist Presentation is sent to Associates and Producers via Workfront for review.
• Provide overview training on the Pilot and ongoing RFP service levels.
  
  Within 12 months, you will:
• Perform at full capacity to independently support creating Lockton RFP responses and finalist presentations.
