What We Need
We’re seeking an experienced Editor/Writer to write and edit creative content. The ideal candidate will have experience conceiving, writing and editing music and entertainment content, from breaking news to features, a deep understanding of internet culture, the ability to identify stories before they go viral, and the ability to quickly edit copy to be clear and snappy. They must be lovers of music, avid consumers of television and movies, and have encyclopedic pop culture knowledge. They must be a skilled researcher, organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage deadlines and turnaround content quickly.
What You’ll Do
Identify, write and edit a high volume of content daily; ensuring accuracy, grammatical correctness, informativeness, and entertainment (blog posts, headlines, social media content)
Enforce style and content standards
Generate creative and compelling ideas for stories, features and other shareable content across multiple formats
Manage and update archived materials
Collaborate with social team
Apply editorial judgement to content production
What You’ll Need
A proven track record creating shareable, viral content on social media
Tech savvy with ability to quickly learn new technologies and tools
Proficiency in writing news copy, fact‑checking and research; ability to work well under breaking news and deadlines
Understanding of social media with a working knowledge of SEO and tag management best practices
Excellent time management skills
Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
Working knowledge of AI platforms
Relevant experience in web production and content creation
Photoshop, CMS publishing and HTML skills
Understanding of content marketing principles, fundamentals, strategies and key trends
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or English preferred
