The ideal candidate will have strong creative skills and a portfolio of work which demonstrates their passion for illustrative design and typography. This candidate will have experiences in working with numerous different design platforms such as digital and print forms. You'll need to learn a BIT of Corel Draw while we transition over to full Adobe Creative Suite but we have both tools available.
Production shop seeks a team-oriented Graphics Designer/Production Associate with large format experience. This position is responsible for the design, production, & fabrication of graphics, and dealing with customers in a courteous and professional manner. Position is available immediately, full time or job share.
Responsibilities Collaborate with the team to ensure consistency of designs across various media outlets
Create compelling and effective logos, designs, print and digital media
Maintain awareness of current industry and technology standards, social media, competitive landscape and market trends
Design and create all types of flexible substrates
Operate and maintain all machinery
Knowledge of vinyl cutting equipment and wide bed digital printing is vital •Greet customers and answer phones in a professional and knowledgeable manner
Maintain accurate, orderly computer files and customer records
Keep inventory of all stock and supplies
Maintain an organized, clean and professional work area
Assist in operating and managing store when needed
Perform bench work including weeding, fabrication and occasional installation
Perform other duties as required
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field
2-4 years of experience in graphic design
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
Strong communication, conceptual thinking, typography skills and design skills
Portfolio of work
Beneficial Qualifications Knowledge and working experience of different medias (banner, vinyl, heat press, etc.)
