RF Microwave Technician
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced RF Microwave Technician to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for the testing, verification, and troubleshooting of RF modules and satellite communications systems. This is a critical position ensuring that our high-performance hardware meets rigorous aerospace and defense specifications.

Role Type: Direct Hire, Full-Time
Pay Range: $32.00 - $36.00 per hour (Dependent on Experience)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Location: Monrovia, CA

Responsibilities
  • Testing & Assembly: Perform assembly, programming, and acceptance test procedures (ATP) for satellite communications assemblies to ensure all products meet technical specifications.
  • Data Collection: Produce and document accurate test data using specialized RF and optical test equipment.
  • Maintenance: Maintain complex test setups and laboratory equipment, ensuring meticulous documentation of test results, anomalies, and repairs.
  • Troubleshooting: Perform deep-dive debug activities on faulty units (including RMAs) to bring them back up to required specifications.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the refinement of RF test procedures and work instructions; recommend workflow improvements to increase efficiency and reliability.
  • Lab Safety: Adhere to electronic laboratory protocols, including ESD safety, equipment handling standards, and contamination control.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • U.S. Person Status: Required due to the necessity of accessing export-controlled data (ITAR).
  • Experience: Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in RF integration and testing, ideally within the satellite communications or aerospace industry.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skill in operating RF test equipment, including:
    • Network Analyzers (VNA) & Spectrum Analyzers
    • RF Power Meters & Oscilloscopes
    • Signal Generators
  • Theoretical Knowledge: Strong understanding of RF system concepts such as frequency response, distortion, signal loss, modulation, noise, and filtering.
  • Hands-on Skills: Proficiency with RF connectors, interconnections, and the ability to read/interpret complex schematics, block diagrams, and engineering drawings.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong troubleshooting abilities, and the communication skills necessary to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Software: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Preferred: Fiber optics knowledge and splicing experience; experience working in ESD-controlled environments.
