Director, Technical Program Manager (Chief of Staff) GEICO is on a multi‑year journey to re‑platform the insurance industry, removing friction across customers, partners, marketplace, segments, channels, and experiences. We are looking to bring on a Director of Technical Program Management to support the Enterprise Engineering organization, collaborate with technology partners on high‑priority projects, define and lead operational excellence across the organization, and partner with executive leadership. This role will also support infrastructure and human resource budgetary planning for multiple initiatives. Responsibilities Directly support the Enterprise Engineering VP in ensuring the success of key priorities: influencing, tracking, communicating, and removing roadblocks across product, design, business, and other functions to ensure alignment and accountability. Ensure that the organization’s strategies are clearly defined, operationally feasible, and aligned across teams, including facilitating the annual strategic planning cycle and translating broad strategic objectives into measurable initiatives. Partner with other pillars outside service to drive horizontal deliveries. Act as a gatekeeper and sounding board for executives, preparing briefing materials and facilitating their engagement with key priorities. Analyze metrics, prepare reports, and present insights to executives to support informed decision‑making. Promote an AI‑first mindset across the technical roadmap and influence initiatives and roadmaps. Define and execute Technology OKRs and technical business reviews (TBR). Collaborate with business operations on company‑wide OKRs in QBRs and MBRs. Coordinate and follow‑up to ensure that initiatives meet approved budget, timeline, service reliability, quality standards, objectives, and the strategic plan. Drive a data‑driven culture, rigor, and mindset. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in technology, business, operations, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Eight or more years of experience in program management. Familiarity with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Excellent project‑management skills and a proven track record of successfully leading and executing projects. Exceptional communication skills, able to craft compelling messages for diverse audiences. Strong interpersonal skills, able to build relationships and guide stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Location: Hybrid – on‑site 4 days per week in Bellevue. The office will open in mid‑2026; candidates will work remotely until then. Annual Salary $150,000.00 – $300,000.00 per year. The above range is a general guideline; final compensation will consider scope, responsibilities, experience, education, training, location, and market factors.
