Description
San Francisco Conservatory of Music (SFCM) seeks a Web Producer to lead the day-to-day management, optimization, and evolution of SFCM.edu and related digital platforms. This role is responsible for the hands-on development, implementation, and maintenance of web solutions, including information architecture, user experience (UX), accessibility, performance optimization, and content governance.
Working in close collaboration with SFCM's Marketing, Communications, and Advancement teams, the Web Producer manages the Drupal CMS, serves as the primary liaison to SFCM's external web agency, and ensures the website is on brand, secure, WCAG-compliant, fully responsive, and optimized for search and conversion. The role leverages analytics, user testing, and digital best practices to support institutional goals related to recruitment, engagement, revenue generation, and visibility, while also overseeing web data privacy, digital signage integrations, and the technical foundations that enable effective digital marketing.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain high-quality web solutions for SFCM.edu, including information architecture, user experience (UX), and performance optimization, to support institutional goals related to recruitment, engagement, and visibility.
- Manage Content Management System (Drupal) including content publishing workflows, template usage, permissions, and updates; serve as the primary point of contact and project manager for SFCM's external web agency.
- Define and maintain the overall look, feel, and functionality of the website, ensuring it is visually impactful, on brand, fast-loading, accessible (WCAG-compliant), secure, and fully responsive across devices.
- Analyze website performance using Google Analytics and other tracking tools, monitoring traffic, user behavior, conversions, and technical health; produce regular reports and data-informed recommendations to improve usability, engagement, and goal completion.
- Optimize the website for Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM), including keyword strategy, on-page optimization, metadata, content structure, and performance monitoring in collaboration with SFCM's Content team.
- Provide technical support for digital advertising platforms, including tracking setup, tag management, conversion tracking, and integration with web analytics tools to ensure accurate measurement and campaign performance.
- Implement and maintain templates and integrations for digital signage systems, ensuring consistency with web and brand standards and reliable content delivery across campus displays.
- Oversee website content quality control, ensuring accuracy, relevance, accessibility, and timely review of content; establish and enforce content standards and review cycles.
- Ensure consistency with SFCM's brand and style guidelines across all web content, templates, and interactive elements.
- Research, test, and implement new web-based tools and applications, serving as a liaison between Marketing & Communications and the Information Technology department to ensure technical feasibility, security, and alignment with institutional needs.
- Acts as institutional lead for web data protection and privacy processes.
- Conducts and analyzes user testing on various segments of organization's audiences.
- Supervise and support student assistants, including training, task assignment, and quality review of work.
- Perform additional web and digital duties as assigned in support of institutional priorities.
- Experience using Drupal as a Content Management System
- Google Analytics knowledge required
- Familiarity with SEO techniques and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
- Knowledge of current and emerging technologies, including proficiency in front-end web development (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript)
- Knowledge of classical music preferred
- Possesses critical thinking, analytical, and creative talent to develop a concept or idea
- Strong project management, diplomacy and decision-making skills
- Minimum of 5 years relevant web experience
- Possesses a bachelor's degree
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of Photoshop and other Adobe Creative Suite programs

Salary Description
$110,000 - $120,000 Annual, DOE
