Job Summary:
We are on the lookout for a dynamic Anchor/Reporter who excels in fast-paced, breaking news environments both on-air and in the field. The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter and a true team player, capable of collaborating effectively across the newsroom to deliver compelling stories on every platform.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • On-Air & Field Reporting: Manage breaking news live on-air and deliver engaging stories and interviews. Fill in for other anchors as necessary.
  • Content Creation & Collaboration: Pitch and develop well-researched enterprise story ideas; collaborate with producers and managers; create unique content for TV, digital, social, and streaming platforms.
  • Community Engagement: Build positive relationships, develop strong contacts, and actively participate in community events.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of anchoring and reporting experience.
  • Exceptional writing skills and solid news judgment.
  • Ability to conduct active and engaging live shots.
  • Ability to work well under tight deadlines.
  • Flexible schedule and willingness to work holidays.
  • Capability to shoot and edit content.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a top 60 market.
  • Knowledge of Central California.
  • Bilingual skills in English and Spanish.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Premiere and/or Dalet One-Cut.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree.

The hiring range for this SAG - AFTRA role in Fresno, California is $100,000 to $160,000 per year. Actual base pay may vary based on geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. The role also offers potential for additional compensation for overtime and shift work. Select benefits may be offered depending on the level and position, including medical, financial, and other benefits.
