Graphic Designer & Social Media Manager Job at Nashville Public Radio in Princet
Nashville Public Radio, Princeton, NJ, United States
InnerJoy | Building Resilience from the Inside Out
InnerJoy is an emotional intelligence and prevention-based curriculum platform serving schools, educators, and counselors.
We don’t create “content.”
We build emotional infrastructure.
We are looking for a Graphic Designer & Social Media Manager who understands that design shapes belief — and that belief shapes behavior.
This is a mission-driven role for someone who cares deeply about teachers, school counselors, and the mental health crisis facing children today.
The Role
You will be responsible for shaping and managing the visual and social voice of InnerJoy across:
LinkedIn
Instagram
Facebook
TeachersPayTeachers
Email newsletter
This is a hybrid creative + strategic role. You will design assets, manage posting, engage with audiences, and collaborate directly with the founders to translate thought leadership into powerful, usable content.
What You’ll Do
Graphic Design
Design LinkedIn carousels, social graphics, and campaign visuals
Create downloadable worksheets, toolkits, and educator resources
Develop visual templates for recurring series (PCS, SEL skills, etc.)
Design assets for TeachersPayTeachers listings
Contribute to brand consistency and visual refinement
Help shape the aesthetic and structure of The Joy Note newsletter
Social Media Management
Schedule and publish posts across platforms
Adapt long-form content into platform-specific formats
Write captions aligned with InnerJoy’s tone (grounded, intelligent, prevention-focused)
Engage meaningfully with educators and thought leaders
Support campaign rollouts and product launches
Track performance and suggest improvements
Who You Are
You are not just creative — you are strategic.
You:
Care deeply about educators and school communities
Understand that education is under pressure and needs support
Can translate research-heavy content into simple, visually clear assets
Write clearly and intelligently — never cheesy or overly trendy
Understand how design supports authority and credibility
Think in campaigns and systems, not random posts
Work well in fast-moving founder environments
Are comfortable giving and receiving feedback directly
You should be able to move between:
A clean PDF educator tool
A scroll-stopping carousel
A structured newsletter layout
A thoughtful LinkedIn post
A simple, elegant Reel concept
What Success Looks Like
Our brand becomes visually consistent and recognizable
Educators save, share, and use our resources
Our content positions us as credible prevention experts
Newsletter engagement grows
Social content drives conversations with school leaders
Working Style
This is a collaborative role.
You will work closely with the founders and will be expected to:
Understand the InnerJoy ethos deeply
Move quickly while maintaining clarity
Think proactively, not reactively
Contribute ideas, not just execution
We are building intellectual property, systems, and long-term trust in schools.
If you are looking for surface-level social media work, this is not the right role.
If you want to design assets that support children’s emotional development and help teachers feel supported, this is.
