Your role and responsibilities

As an SAP User Experience Architect - Associate Partner, you will:

  • UX Expertise and Leadership: Lead the design of engaging and intuitive SAP interfaces for clients by applying deep understanding of user experience principles and SAP-specific UX guidelines.
  • Tool Proficiency: Expertly utilize Signavio for business process modeling, LeaniX for low-code application development, and WalkMe for digital adoption. Create tailored, user-centric solutions that enhance adoption and user satisfaction.
  • Client Engagement: Act as a UX expert for clients, translating their needs into compelling design concepts and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Partnership Enhancement: Collaborate with IBM and SAP teams for strategic alignment and co-create innovative UX solutions.
  • UX Strategy and Differentiation: Define our unique value proposition for SAP UX design and craft impactful go-to-market messages.
  • Design System Management: Contribute to a reusable design system and component library, ensuring project consistency and efficiency.
  • User Research and Usability Testing: Conduct research and testing to validate design decisions, ensuring alignment with user needs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with UX designers, product managers, and developers for seamless execution of UX strategies.
  • Thought Leadership: Share insights through speaking engagements and publications to establish our position as a trusted advisor in SAP UX.
  • Incentive Maximization: Stay updated on incentive programs to maximize rewards from successful SAP UX implementations.
  • Market Awareness: Maintain knowledge of market dynamics and emerging trends to advise clients on best practices.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior UX architects, fostering a culture of learning and development.

Hybrid: Your work location will be assigned based on business needs, with a combination of IBM location, client sites, or remote. Your management team will determine required in-office days. Any changes to this arrangement must be preapproved by your manager. This job can be performed from anywhere in the US.

Required technical and professional expertise

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Business Management, Interaction Design, or related field. Preferred certifications include SAP Certified Application Associate or SAP Certified Technology Associate.
  • Technical Expertise: Proven experience in UX design for enterprise software, focusing on SAP applications. Strong understanding of UX principles, user research, usability testing, and information architecture. Proficient in design tools like Sketch, Figma, and Adobe XD. Familiarity with low-code platforms such as LeaniX and with tools like Signavio for modeling.
  • Professional Skills: Exceptional communication and presentation skills; experience engaging stakeholders and leading UX discussions.
  • Industry Experience: Minimum of 10 years in UX design or consulting roles, preferably within the SAP ecosystem.
  • Leadership Potential: Showcased ability to mentor and inspire teams, driving collaboration and results.
  • Cultural Fit: Align with our values, embracing a customer-focused culture and a commitment to innovation.
