The Office Communications, Marketing, and Brand Management (CMBM) is seeking candidates for student employment working as a marketing photographer.
Are you great with people and capturing moments? Do you know composition and camera settings like the back of your hand? Then we would love to see your portfolio of work!
You will be tasked with helping to create high quality imagery that may be featured in all official TCNJ marketing collateral, including in print, web, and social media.
This position reports to the campus photographer/videographer in the CMBM office and will be for the Spring '26 semester and possibly beyond.

Main Responsibilities:

Photograph academic settings with and without students and faculty present
- Photograph student life, as well as campus wide events that align with marketing priorities of the office
- Edit each photoshoot down to the highest quality photographs with the best sharpness and composition
- Archive each photoshoot with our naming convention and organizational structure
- Assist with set up of lighting and pre-production set up during photoshoots
- Transport lighting and other equipment around campus, as well as occasional off-campus photoshoots
- Assist with other related duties as necessary
Must Haves:
- Must have solid knowledge and experience using DSLR/mirrorless cameras
- Must have a relevant portfolio or reel of images that pertain to the position
- Must be able to take direction and be willing to learn
- Must be available a minimum of 10 hours from Monday to Friday
- Must be flexible for occasional evening and weekend events
Learning Objectives:
- Learn how to take photographs with a marketing purpose
- Learn how to set up and apply artificial lighting to subjects and environments
- Learn how to navigate a digital asset management (DAM) system
- Develop skills to interact with subjects on campus, from student peers to college leadership
- Gain an understanding how different photography can be used for various marketing needs
The Office of Communications, Marketing, and Brand Management is seeking a candidate for Student Employment as a Video Editor.
This role will be tasked with helping to create high quality videos that may be featured in official TCNJ web and digital recruitment efforts.
The candidate will report to the campus photographer/videographer in the CMBM office and it will be for the '25-'26 academic year, starting in September and ending in May.
Main Responsibilities:
- Capture footage of student life and campus-wide events that align with marketing priorities of the office
- Cull footage down to the highest quality clips for sharpness, composition, and substance
- Archive each clip with our naming convention and organizational structure
- Assist with set up of lighting and other various equipment during video shoots
- Transporting lighting and other equipment around campus, as well as occasional off-campus shoots
- Edit videos as needed in accordance with office marketing priorities
- Assist with other duties as necessary
Preferred Qualifications:
- Must be able to take direction and be willing to learn
- Must have experience with video cameras and video editing
- Must have knowledge of Adobe Premiere
- Must be available a minimum of 9 hours per week
- Must be flexible for occasional evening and weekend events
