Lee Enterprises is hiring: Sports Video Producer in Montpelier

Lee Enterprises is looking for a video producer who's passionate about local sports and digital storytelling to join Lee's Strategic Content Support team.

As a producer focused on selecting, editing and managing sports-related video provided by partners, you'll serve as a key resource for a sports video initiative spanning across 70+ markets. Key tasks:

• Anticipate and execute opportunities to drive local audience and revenue with sports video.
• Create, edit, select and distribute video packages for multiple digital platforms and digital brands across our markets.
• Collaborate with our central sales team and local newsroom editors to leverage all available video resources.
• Mine video libraries for reusable content that can drive video volume, engagement and revenue.

This work requires both technical and analytical skills, plus flexibility and capability to work across disciplines: news, sales and marketing. You should be comfortable working independently, contributing to group projects and collaborating across teams - while balancing frequent deadlines and priorities that can shift rapidly with new developments.

What skills are we looking for?

This role requires previous experience in a newsroom, studio or sports marketing video production role. Broad and deep knowledge of sports, especially at the high school and college levels, is a must. Database and/or video management system experience required. Experience in livestreaming is a plus, as is familiarity with social media management and content analytics tools.

What is the pay range?

This salaried position has an expected annualized pay range of $40,000 to $60,000. Actual salary may vary based on factors such as employee location, education, experience and other factors permitted by law. The listed salary range is just one component of Lee's total compensation and benefits package.

Where would you work?

This is a remote position. Location in or near a Lee market is preferred, but we will consider candidates anywhere in the continental United States. We will provide you with a laptop, monitors, keyboard and mouse for your home office.

What about travel?

If you live near a Lee location, you may be asked to meet in person periodically. Otherwise, you may be asked to attend one or two team-related meetings in person per year.
