Hotel Sales Manager

for

Gold Dust West Elko . This property features a modern interior with the latest slot machines and table games including Blackjack, Craps, and 3-Card Poker. Across the parking lot is our 80-room Hampton Inn featuring Wi-Fi, a swimming pool, fitness center and a hot breakfast for all guests. Responsibilities

Respond to inquiries from all leads; direct, RFPs, Consortia’s, third party booking sources, potential clients seeking sleeping rooms and/or meeting room rental, and any other services pertaining to the company

Travel outside the hotel to initiate new sales (face-to-face sales), solicit leads, host customer appreciation/guest appreciation receptions, and make sales proposals and presentations

Determine and maintain negotiated rates and contracts

Develop sales strategies to meet or exceed established revenue and room night goals

Establish and maintain all accounts, and develop professional relationships in the marketplace

Foster relationships on behalf of the Hampton Brand with local Chamber of Commerce, Visitors Bureau and Welcome Centers

Analyze competition, both locally and regionally using website reviews, STR Reports, and other resources to create opportunities for sales and rate improvement

Create and maintain new programs and campaigns to develop additional sales from other markets

Ensure prompt and systematic servicing of all business accounts

Maintain and manage OnQ R&I and Global Revenue Optimization (GRO) systems, as well as sales records, reports, and sales schedule/calendar. Manage accounts in OnQ PM System

Track, log, and report all sales revenue, sales history, sales budget and sales potential/forecast

Maintain a mailing list of all sales accounts and potential accounts

Operate the shuttle van to and from Elko Regional Airport and other Elko areas

Follow lost and found guidelines: Any items found in guest rooms, lobby, corridor, or in the back of the house are to be returned to the front desk

Take care of hotel property: avoid scraping walls when pushing carts through hallways, slamming of doors, and other movements that may cause property damage

Communicate with all hotel team members to keep daily operations running efficiently

Follow all policies and procedures for guest, employee and hotel safety

Stay current with all Hampton brand training programs

Comply with all Hampton brand standards

Qualifications

Two years of hotel sales experience required

Some higher education is preferred

Irregular work hours; some weekends, evenings, holidays

Valid Nevada driver’s license with 3 years acceptable driving record

Travel locally, regionally, and nationally to meet with prospective guests and other sales professionals to discuss business

Flexible, decisive, motivated, reliable, and creative

Proficient computer skills: internet, email, word processing, graphics, multimedia, spreadsheets and databases

Handle and manage stress appropriately

Maintain a positive outgoing attitude

Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming in compliance with Hampton brand standards

City, County, and State work cards as required
