The primary purpose of this role is to sell Rentokil's pest management services and products to new and existing commercial customers, while maintaining a customer-focused service to grow the business. Account Executives call on a full spectrum of market segments including hospitality, food & beverage processing, healthcare, and retail. You will join a results-oriented environment with a comprehensive training program to learn and understand our pest management services and products. You will learn how to inspect and identify infestations (or potential infestations) of all kinds of organisms, insects, birds, and other pests, and you will translate that knowledge into proposals and presentations that drive sales. Responsibilities
Create new business opportunities through cold calling, prospecting, networking, leads, referrals, and cross-selling
Visually inspect buildings for pests, pest harborage, pest entries, etc. Based on assessment findings, sell pest control solutions and preventative maintenance for commercial customers
Craft territory development strategies to exceed sales targets
Learn and maintain complete knowledge of Rentokil's programs, protocols, pricing policies, and service offerings
Build partnerships and collaborate with internal departments to maximize growth opportunities and ensure outstanding service solutions
Complete daily activities and sales performance using the company sales CRM
Essential Job Functions
Demonstrate physical stamina: move up to 10 lbs regularly and 11-20 lbs frequently (lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or repositioning objects)
Move around a lot: regularly sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl; stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles; maintain balance on narrow or moving surfaces
Deal with different pests (spiders, flies, mosquitos, rodents, etc.) and enter small spaces such as basements, crawl spaces, attics, etc.
Safely operate a motor vehicle and keep equipment clean
Occasionally wear PPE (including OSHA-compliant respirator) and work in confined spaces, narrow aisles, or passageways
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
A valid driver's license from your state of residence
Strong social, customer service, and communication skills
Preferred two years of experience in business-to-business sales, with prospecting skills (cold calling, lead generation, networking)
Self-motivated, hunter mentality with the ability to work independently
Must obtain any required industry licenses provided and paid for by the company
Travel up to 100% within assigned territory
Must pass pre-employment background screen
This role offers a base pay plus commission. Base pay range: Hourly $19.00 - $22.00. Total earnings vary by location, skills, education, experience, overtime, incentives, commissions, performance, and route assignment. Why Choose Us?
