The Neuroscience Sales Specialist has overall responsibility for meeting or exceeding sales expectations within their assigned geographies in an ethical and compliant manner. The sales specialist is responsible for understanding and identifying customer needs, aligning marketing resources, and supporting pull-through activities. They are also accountable for embodying and communicating Intra-Cellular’s corporate vision of improving the lives of patients suffering from neuropsychiatric disorders. The position involves developing product and disease state knowledge to engage in clinical dialogue with healthcare professionals and creating local strategic and tactical plans with effective budget and expense management in the assigned territory. We seek sales professionals with a patient focus, tenacity for results, adaptability, entrepreneurial drive, and a collaborative culture. Responsibilities
Following compliance guidelines, drives sales performance to ensure sales forecasts are met or exceeded within the assigned territory by calling on healthcare professional offices and Mental Health Community Centers both in-person and virtually. Effectively uses assigned budgets to achieve territory objectives. Customizes discussions and client interactions based on customer needs in a compliant and ethical manner. Maintains current understanding of local market, practice structures, evolving customers, and key influencers. Shares information with relevant internal stakeholders. Provides input into resource allocation decisions across customers/region. Identifies and selects programs/resources appropriate for each customer, practice, and/or system. Works with Regional Business Manager and stakeholders to develop a local business plan that ensures achievement of business objectives. Capitalizes on formulary approvals and other opportunities through strategic plan execution. Collaborates with other Neuroscience Sales Specialists on common objectives and sharing of best practices. Accounts for timely and accurate administrative management of work hours, sales call data, customer objectives, communications, synchronization, samples, and expense reporting. Builds a business plan based on customer needs, resources, and products. Completes all required company and job-related training within the specified timelines. A minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience in healthcare sales/account management, or business-to-business sales, or recently transitioned from Active-Duty Military 3+ years of sales experience in specialty pharmaceuticals preferred Launch, antipsychotic, and/or bi-polar sales experience highly preferred Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, valid driver’s license and safe driving record Strong desire and passion for improving the lives of patients and their caregivers; patient-centric mindset High integrity and compliance with Company policies Strong self-motivation, initiative, entrepreneurial mindset, sound decision-making, collaboration and cross-functional skills Proven track record of learning and adapting in evolving environments Ability to be agile in a changing telemedicine/virtual environment Ability to analyze data/metrics to assess progress and identify opportunities Experience establishing new customer relationships and communicating technical information to diverse audiences Work hours may include meetings outside of normal working hours; some overnight travel may be required Domestic travel to corporate headquarters, training, and sales meetings periodically Must be able to perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation Salary range for this position: $79,000 - $155,000 Company Information
