This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Fairfax Assembly on a full-time basis. The Role The Facilities Management Representative serves as the single point of contact and “building owner” for Fairfax Assembly, covering maintenance, housekeeping, and roads & grounds. You will develop and administer facilities service contracts, partner closely with business units and support functions, and ensure reliable, compliant, and cost‑effective delivery of housekeeping and building maintenance services. This role also helps lead workspace transformation efforts, finding better, more creative, and more efficient ways to support how teams work and use GM spaces. What You’ll Do Serve as the single point of contact for facility needs related to mobile equipment, housekeeping, and roads and grounds, as well as other facility services. Coordinate the daily activities of the mobile equipment fleet, roads and grounds, and housekeeping service providers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of high-quality services. Develop, administer, and optimize facility service contracts and on-demand activities; work closely with contracted service providers to ensure scope, cost, quality, and performance targets are met. Drive strategic and analytical planning to optimize facility service agreements and on-demand work. Coordinate and track work orders, repairs, and preventive maintenance with internal teams and vendors (e.g., JLL and other service providers). Support and drive successful planning and execution of the GM Workplace Safety System and GM Global Safety Standards, including safety observation tours, addressing employee safety concerns, incident investigation, management of change, and full compliance to the GM Safety Contract Management program. Help maintain compliance with EHS, safety, and regulatory requirements, including housekeeping and safe work practices. Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications) Bachelor's Degree or 4+ years of equivalent experience Proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization (from shop floor and production supervision to plant staff and leadership). Ability and willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and off‑hours as needed to support operations. What Can Give You a Competitive Advantage (Preferred Qualifications) Experience in Facilities Management Demonstrated timely and effective problem‑solving skills. Proven track record of successful project execution (scope, cost, timing, and quality).
