This role requires a hands‑on, highly versatile marketer who can set strategic direction while actively partnering in execution, comfortably moving between high‑level strategy and tactical implementation. The Senior Marketing Strategist brings strong fluency in brand marketing, web strategy, and channel optimization, collaborating with marketing research, internal matrix partners, and external vendors to deliver insight‑driven programs. The Senior Marketing Strategist leads the development of marketing project briefs, working with key stakeholders to define objectives, audience insights, positioning, key messages, and measurement approaches. The role applies a strong understanding of complex B2B buying cycles and multi‑stakeholder decision‑making, where brand trust and credibility are critical. The role ensures the delivery of high‑quality, on‑strategy marketing programs within defined timelines and budgets and leads communication of marketing plans, performance, and outcomes to senior stakeholders across HM Insurance Group. This position manages and optimizes campaign and project budgets and evaluates outcomes to distill customer insights, competitive intelligence, and market trends relevant to Stop Loss and B2B insurance. These insights inform future strategies and guide ongoing optimization of brand reach, engagement, and channel effectiveness, leveraging digital and web performance signals to improve ROI/ROMI. Success in this role requires a marketer who can build credibility quickly, strong collaboration skills, ability to influence, balance competing priorities, and thrive in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment, demonstrating sound judgment, adaptability, and a focus on delivering measurable brand and business impact. This role can be hybrid or remote. If you live within 50 miles of an office you are required to be onsite 3 days a week (T,W,Th). Essential Responsibilities
Develop integrated (360) marketing campaigns to advance acquisition, retention, and engagement objectives for B2B audiences, B2C audiences, providers, products and services. Work with marketing research, matrix partners and external vendors to execute tactics and integrated marketing campaigns including advertising, direct marketing, social and digital tactics. Lead the development of comprehensive marketing project briefs with moderate to high visibility, in collaboration with key stakeholders, matrix partners and marketing research to define objectives, insights, positioning, messages and tracking. Develop forecasts for marketing activities, responses and leads. Develop business cases to support new marketing strategies, budget requests, projects and marketing plans. Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure execution of high‑quality marketing strategies within defined timeframes. Lead communication of marketing plans and outcomes to key stakeholders and senior management. Ensure brand alignment to increase brand awareness and equity. Ensure necessary approvals and adherence to current processes and corporate, federal and state guidelines. Track and measure marketing outcomes including activities, responses, leads, sales, retention and ROI/ROMI. Evaluate campaign outcomes, distill insights, competitive and environmental trends to refine current marketing strategies and develop future strategies. Work with internal partners and external vendors to optimize budgets to meet objectives and improve ROI/ROMI. Manage and project budgets with internal matrix partners and external vendors.
