Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position for a Technical Sales Representative located in the St. Louis, MO area. This role is a blend of technical expertise and consultative selling. You will manage and grow customer relationships, develop new business, and drive revenue through the sale and rental of surveying and construction equipment. You will also support customers with product training and troubleshooting, demonstrate equipment on active jobsites, and ensure an excellent customer experience from first conversation through after sale support. The candidate will proactively use and maintain a CRM and stay current on product updates to confidently recommend the right solutions. Key Responsibilities
Manage customer accounts and grow revenue through selling, renting, and supporting equipment throughout the St. Louis area Develop new end customer relationships to expand market penetration Demonstrate product lines on active jobsites and lead hands on customer training Provide after sale support, troubleshooting, and technical guidance as needed Maintain accurate CRM activity, pipeline updates, and follow up cadence Coordinate with internal teams to ensure order fulfillment and customer satisfaction Maintain strong product knowledge across hardware and software solutions Qualifications
Proven ability to drive sales results through relationship building, follow up, and solution-based recommendations Ability to provide hands on technical support, including troubleshooting and basic maintenance of hardware and software used in land surveying and construction Effective communication and customer service skills to promptly and clearly address customer needs and inquiries Experience supporting sales efforts, including product demonstrations and tailored recommendations Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail to ensure effective resolution of technical issues Familiarity with land surveying, construction tools, and related equipment is highly beneficial Ability to work collaboratively with the team on site and support customers locally A technical certification or degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience is preferred Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally for customer visits and jobsite demos
