We're Hiring: Purchasing Agent Clearwater/Tampa Area
Are you a detail-oriented professional with a knack for negotiation and supplier management? Join our dynamic team as a Purchasing Agent, where your expertise in sourcing, vendor relations, and supply chain coordination will help drive operational success and efficiency. What You'll Do Source and evaluate suppliers to ensure optimal price, quality, delivery standards, and recommend improvements or alternatives. Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors to maximize value. Monitor inventory levels to maintain optimal stock without over-purchasing. Track and report key purchasing metrics including delivery performance, cost savings, and supplier quality. Maintain strong vendor relationships to promote open communication and seamless collaboration. Coordinate with the operation's team to align purchasing with business needs. Manage purchase orders, confirmations, change orders, and pricing updates. Meet deadlines for quotes, submittals, and deliveries. What We're Looking For 3+ years of experience in a purchasing or supply chain role. Strong negotiation skills and a proven ability to evaluate suppliers. Solid understanding of market trends, pricing, and purchasing strategies. Experience with purchasing and inventory management software. Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel). Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
