We are hiring on behalf of our client, a premier industrial ingredient brokerage specializing in high-end solutions for the food and beverage industry. Our client is seeking a Business Development Manager to own and grow the West Coast territory, representing a global leader in natural extracts and ingredients. This is a senior, technical, full-cycle position for an entrepreneurial professional who understands the intersection of food science, procurement, and market strategy. You will manage a high-value territory, driving innovation for some of the world’s most recognizable beverage and CPG brands. Key Responsibilities

Strategic Territory Ownership: Manage and scale a West Coast book of business, focusing on 3–5 new strategic accounts per month. Technical Consulting: Educate R&D and Product Development teams on flavor profiles, seasonality, and application-specific benefits. Multi-Level Networking: Build relationships with Procurement Directors and Food Scientists to influence buying decisions. Market Intelligence: Monitor supply chains and competitor pricing to protect margins and provide financially astute pricing strategies. Dual-Stakeholder Collaboration: Report to executive leadership while maintaining strategic communication with key customers. Qualifications & Experience

5+ years of proven success in Flavor, Fragrance, or Specialty Ingredient sales. Experience with essential oils, extracts, or sweeteners is a plus. Strong R&D literacy and ability to speak the language of Food Scientists. Proven track record managing $1M+ deals from bench sample to production. Bachelor’s degree required; Food Science, Chemistry, or Business preferred. High proficiency in Salesforce or other CRM systems and MS Office; QuickBooks a plus. Willingness to travel up to 40% across the West Coast. What’s on Offer
