The Pathway Initiative Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, community-based educational organization located in downtown Boston, MA. Our mission is to increase diversity in the medical profession and address healthcare disparities in underserved communities by providing comprehensive STEM education support. We offer mentorship, leadership training, and financial aid to minority groups at various educational levels, from high school to medical school and into their first jobs as certified clinicians.

Role Description

We are seeking a Volunteer Photographer & Videographer intern for a part-time hybrid role to capture high-quality images at various events, activities, and program sessions organized by The Pathway Initiative Inc. Responsibilities include photographing events, editing and organizing photos, collaborating with the marketing team to create visual content, and contributing to our social media presence. While most work will take place on location in Boston, some tasks can be completed remotely.

Hours are flexible.

Qualifications

  • Entry-level role - Ideal for media students or recent graduates
  • Photography and photo editing skills
  • Experience with videography is a plus
  • Familiarity with different types of photography equipment
  • Ability to work with students in an educational setting
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience working with non-profits or community organizations is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work in the afternoon and occasionally in the evening
  • A portfolio showcasing previous photography work
