What's the Role and What You'll Do
Mountain View seeks a strategic library leader who is energized by innovation and the evolving role of public libraries to help advance major initiatives and expand access to library resources. Spanning over 12 miles, Mountain View is a diverse community home to approximately 83,600 residents and globally recognized companies including Google, Microsoft, Intuit, and LinkedIn.
The ideal candidate will be a strong organizational leader with the ability to guide complex, cross-departmental projects. As a key member of the Library leadership team, this people-centered leader will foster a positive, supportive, and collaborative workplace culture. The successful candidate will also be comfortable making data-driven recommendations, particularly related to collection development and the effective use of Library space. Five years of experience as a professional librarian, including three years of supervisory or management experience, along with a Master's degree with major coursework in library science, information science or a related field are required.

The salary range is $177,192 - $265,788. Pay beyond the control point of $221,490 may be considered, DOQE + a competitive benefits package.
