What we need

Exol is looking for a hands-on Senior IT Specialist to serve as the primary IT point of contact for our new distribution center in Georgia. Working in collaboration with our entire IT Operations team, you will be on the front-line ensuring that warehouse operations run smoothly and securely.

This role is a mix of traditional helpdesk support, site infrastructure maintenance, and warehouse-specific technology management. You will support a mix of IT Infrastructure on the warehouse floor, administrative offices, and for leadership functions.

What you'll do

Warehouse & Operations Support Mobility Devices: configure, troubleshoot, and maintain handheld mobile android devices (e.g., Zebra, Honeywell) and vehicle-mounted terminals.

Printing Infrastructure: Maintain a fleet of critical printers / label printers as well as office multi-function printers.

WMS Support: Act as liaison between warehouse associates and the WMS Application Support Team by ensuring user issues are reported effectively, accurately and resolved swiftly.

Network & Infrastructure

Connectivity: Hands-on support for the IT Operations Team in troubleshoot WiFI AP's, switches, firewalls, and IoT devices.

Cabling: Coordinate fiber/cat6 cabling needs, patch panel management, and ensure a clean, organized MDF/IDF cabinets.

Vendor Management: Act as the local liaison for ISPs, low voltage cablers, and various IT vendors.

End-User Support

Support User Onboarding: Conduct IT onboarding sessions with new hires to ensure they understand IT processes and standards, that their devices are operating as expected, and answer any technical follow-up questions.

Support User Offboarding: Collect, inventory, and wipe equipment for departing staff.

Troubleshooting: Triage hardware, software, and connectivity issues for office staff and warehouse associates (Windows, Microsoft 365, Teams, Outlook, etc.).

Asset Management: Review and update inventory records for all IT assets in the Georgia facility.

What you'll need

Minimum 5 years of IT support experience, with multiple years' supporting IT in a warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environment.

Technical Proficiency: Experience administering Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Azure.

Basic networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, WiFi AP's, SFP's, cabling standards.

Familiarity with label printing technology (Zebra is a plus).

Autonomy: Ability to work independently but also in collaboration with the entire IT Operations team. Must be a self-starter who can prioritize tasks and proactively seek out opportunities for improvement/efficiency.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (servers, UPS units, printers).

Ability to stand/walk for extended periods on a concrete warehouse floor.

Ability to work in an air-conditioned room when needed supporting MDF infrastructure.

Our Environment

Travel could be up to 10% of the time. Employee must have a valid driver's license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations

The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis.

This is an in-warehouse role; you'll spend time on the floor as well as in the office.

Flexibility to work multiple shifts (day, swing, night) or be on call depending on operational demands.

Ability to walk/stand for extended periods, climb stairs/ladders, and tolerate warehouse environmental conditions (temperature variations, noise, etc).
