My client is seeking a proven
defense-sector hunter
to lead aggressive revenue expansion across U.S. military and government accounts.
This is
not an account maintenance role . This leader will identify, pursue, capture, and win new business within the Department of Defense, Defense Logistics Agency, and major defense prime contractors.
The mission:
grow market share, secure program wins, and position client's battery and power solutions inside next-generation defense platforms.
What We're Looking For
10+ years of direct government / defense sales experience -
being the HUNTER
Demonstrated
success winning and expanding large-scale DoD or prime contractor programs
Deep understanding of federal procurement (FAR/DFARS)
Proven ability to manage long, complex sales cycles
Strong executive presence with experience briefing senior military and civilian leadership
Highly Preferred
Experience selling battery systems, power solutions, energy storage, or ruggedized electronics
Established relationships within DoD, DLA, or Tier 1 defense contractors

New program wins
Expanded share within defense accounts
Increased penetration across military branches
What You Will Own
Revenue & Program Capture
Drive net-new revenue growth across DoD, DLA, and Tier 1 defense contractors
Lead capture strategy for new programs and contracts
Influence product specifications into military programs of record
Identify and penetrate emerging defense technology opportunities
Strategic Defense Relationships
Build and expand executive-level relationships across:
U.S. military branches
Defense procurement offices
Prime contractors and system integrators
Position client as a trusted power & energy solutions partner
Track defense budgets, procurement cycles, and acquisition strategies
Navigate FAR/DFARS and military contracting processes
Shape opportunities early in the acquisition lifecycle
Cross-Functional Leadership
Partner with Engineering, Product Development, and Marketing to align solutions with evolving mission requirements
Provide strategic direction to sales team members supporting defense accounts
