Director of Information Technology
to lead the infrastructure, cybersecurity, and end-user support functions across the organization’s healthcare facilities and corporate operations.
This leader will oversee three core IT teams including Cybersecurity, Network & Systems Infrastructure, and IT Support Services, ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable technology operations that support Emerus’ hospital network and business growth. The Director of IT will be responsible for driving operational excellence across a Microsoft-centric environment, managing enterprise infrastructure, advancing cloud initiatives within Microsoft Azure, and ensuring network reliability through Cisco networking and unified communications platforms. This role requires a strong blend of technical leadership, operational management, and strategic planning to ensure a highly available and secure healthcare technology environment. Key Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure & Operations Leadership
Provide strategic leadership for enterprise IT infrastructure, including systems, networking, cloud platforms, and end-user services.
Oversee day-to-day operations across infrastructure, support services, and cybersecurity functions.
Ensure high availability and performance of systems supporting hospital operations and clinical workflows.
Develop and execute the long-term IT infrastructure roadmap aligned with business and clinical priorities.
Team Leadership & Organizational Management
Lead and mentor three direct reports: Cybersecurity Manager
Network & Systems Manager
IT Support Manager
Build a high-performing IT organization focused on service excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Establish operational metrics and service delivery KPIs across infrastructure and support teams.
Cloud & Infrastructure Strategy
Manage and optimize the organization’s Microsoft Azure cloud environment, including hybrid infrastructure and cloud migration initiatives.
Oversee Microsoft technologies including: Active Directory / Entra ID
Microsoft 365 ecosystem
Windows Server environments
Endpoint management and identity security
Partner with architecture and application teams to ensure scalable and secure infrastructure design.
Network & Communications Infrastructure
Oversee enterprise networking across hospital and corporate locations using Cisco networking technologies.
Ensure the stability and performance of: LAN/WAN infrastructure
Network security
Wireless networks
Cisco voice and collaboration platforms
Lead network modernization initiatives and support expansion of hospital facilities.
Cybersecurity Oversight
Partner with the Cybersecurity Manager to maintain a robust security posture across infrastructure and endpoints.
Ensure adherence to healthcare compliance and security standards.
Oversee implementation of cybersecurity frameworks, risk mitigation strategies, and incident response processes.
IT Service Management
Oversee the end-user support function supporting corporate and hospital staff.
Ensure timely resolution of incidents, service requests, and operational issues.
Implement and improve IT service management processes to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
Vendor & Budget Management
Manage relationships with infrastructure, networking, cloud, and security vendors.
Oversee IT infrastructure budgets and technology investments.
Evaluate new technologies and solutions that improve scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Qualifications
Required Experience
10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience
5+ years managing infrastructure, cloud, or enterprise IT operations teams
Experience leading multi-disciplinary IT teams across infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, and support
Strong experience in Microsoft enterprise environments
Experience managing Azure cloud platforms
Deep understanding of Cisco networking and voice infrastructure
Experience supporting distributed enterprise environments or multi-site organizations
Preferred Experience
Healthcare industry experience or familiarity with healthcare compliance environments
Experience supporting hospital or clinical IT infrastructure
Experience managing hybrid cloud infrastructure
ITIL or similar service management experience
