Overview
This manager role leads the US International (USI) Marketing team to accomplish business plan revenue goals, outlining the USI Marketing vision and strategy and building a high-performing team. The manager drives cross-functional alignment with Planning, Engineering, Pricing, Finance, and Go-to-Market, ensuring USI strategy, capacity, and product positioning are embedded in enterprise decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop a team of USI marketing and strategy professionals, setting clear goals, providing ongoing coaching, and fostering a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
Lead strategic assessments of USI, defining the long-term growth strategy and synthesizing customer, market, competitive, and macroeconomic insights into a coherent strategic narrative and actionable roadmap.
Partner with forecasting and finance leadership to shape the USI outlook and business plan, aligning volume, revenue, and capacity perspectives with strategic intent.
Provide strategic leadership for assigned product line(s), Global Air Freight, E-commerce and Verticals focus for the USI region—achieving business plan and defining strong portfolio positioning with a long-range capabilities roadmap for growth.
Lead or oversee complex, cross-functional product initiatives with partner teams (for example: Spot pricing), establishing governance routines, assigning clear ownership within the team, and delivering timely, executive-ready updates and decision recommendations.
Identify and prioritize regional growth and product development opportunities, working with regional leads to drive growth with clear value propositions, outcomes, and success metrics.
Collaborate with Go-to-Market, Go-to-Sales and cross-functional teams to translate strategic opportunities into differentiated offerings and campaigns that drive sustainable growth.
Proactively identify emerging issues, white spaces, and disruptive market forces, coaching the team to propose strategic pivots and experiments that maintain competitive advantage.
Skills considered a plus
Extensive experience in strategy, product management, transportation or similar roles, preferably within transportation, logistics, or related industries.
Demonstrated people leadership experience, including managing, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
Proven track record influencing senior leaders and driving cross-functional decision-making through clear, data-backed recommendations.
Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to connect operational details to enterprise-level implications and to coach others to do the same.
Strong business and financial acumen, including comfort with business cases, scenario modeling, and trade-off analysis.
Demonstrated ability to lead complex initiatives, manage multiple high-priority efforts, and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
Superior communication and executive storytelling skills, including the ability to craft and deliver compelling presentations at all levels of the organization and to mentor team members in these skills.
High degree of self-direction, adaptability, and resilience, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and create clarity and focus for the team.
Minimum Education Bachelor's Degree/equivalent in business, finance, marketing or other directly related discipline.
Minimum Experience Five (5) years directly related experience in planning and analyses. More advanced degrees may offset experience requirements. A related Master’s Degree equals two (2) years experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Demonstrated computer skills. Strong basic management, human relations, communication and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications Pay Transparency:
Pay: Salary Range: $9,719.96/mo - $16,523.93/mo
Additional Details: This position will be hybrid in Memphis, TN and candidates must live within a 50 mile radius. This position is hybrid, meaning employees will be required to work at a FedEx Campus location four times per week.
