Job Description Publicis Media’s Central Activation team supports PM Agency clients by planning, executing, and optimizing biddable media campaigns across Programmatic, Paid Social, and Paid Search to achieve performance and business objectives. This role is designed for large and complex accounts, requiring holistic channel leadership and cross-functional integration.
The Associate Director is a strategic, data-driven leader with deep hands-on expertise across DSP, Social, and Search platforms. This role oversees a multidisciplinary team responsible for end-to-end campaign activation, ensuring cohesive strategy, operational excellence, and measurable impact across all performance channels.
A successful candidate will have 5+ years of digital media experience spanning programmatic, paid social, and paid search, with strong platform fluency including DV360, The Trade Desk, Amazon DSP, Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, Pinterest Ads Manager, Google Ads, and SA360. They are a technical problem-solver, strong communicator, and trusted client partner who can translate complex data into actionable insights while fostering a culture of growth, accountability, and innovation. This position serves as a key point of contact for clients and internal partners.
Responsibilities
Lead an integrated biddable media team responsible for activation across DSP, social, and search platforms
Oversee the full campaign lifecycle from briefing through execution, optimization, and reporting across all channels
Mentor and develop Supervisors, Senior Campaign Managers, Campaign Managers, and junior team members
Drive strategic direction and execution of performance media deliverables to exceed client benchmarks
Align cross-channel strategies to ensure cohesive audience, creative, and measurement approaches
Establish and refine scalable processes across teams and partners to improve workflow efficiency
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, internal teams, and media partners through proactive communication
Translate business goals into actionable channel strategies, KPIs, and measurement frameworks
Analyze performance data to uncover insights, recommend optimizations, and identify growth opportunities
Guide advanced optimization tactics using platform features, automation, and testing roadmaps
Provide POVs on emerging technologies, privacy changes, auction dynamics, and industry trends
Lead performance readouts, strategic presentations, and insight sessions with senior partners
Partner with analytics and strategy teams to ensure accurate measurement, attribution, and reporting integrity
Troubleshoot technical issues including tracking, pixels, integrations, and platform implementation
Identify operational risks and implement solutions to improve delivery, efficiency, and accuracy
Champion innovation across performance media and educate clients and internal teams on evolving capabilities
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, business, economics, statistics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of experience managing biddable media campaigns across Programmatic, Paid Social, and Paid Search
2+ years of team leadership and people management experience
Proven expertise in major buying platforms including DSPs, social ad managers, and search engines
Strong analytical attitude with the ability to interpret complex datasets and translate them into strategic recommendations
Deep understanding of the performance media ecosystem, including data privacy, verification, and partner integrations
Excellent client-facing communication skills and comfort presenting to senior stakeholders
Strong project management and organizational capabilities in fast-paced environments
Resourceful, proactive, and comfortable navigating ambiguity
Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on when needed
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and performance reporting tools

Compensation Range: $97,375- $155,961 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met.
