Director, System Pharmacy

The Director, System Pharmacy provides strategic leadership for the planning, design, and continuous improvement of the medication management system across LCMC Health. This role oversees pharmaceutical contracting, procurement, inventory control, distribution, and diversion prevention while ensuring safe, effective, and efficient medication use throughout the organization. The Director ensures compliance with all national, state, and local regulatory requirements, monitors emerging healthcare and pharmacy trends, and partners with clinical and executive leadership to advance pharmacy services and patient care.

This leader is also responsible for developing departmental budgets, strengthening pharmacy operations, and building high-performing teams through recruitment, training, mentoring, and performance management. The ideal candidate brings strong operational and regulatory expertise, a commitment to patient safety, and the ability to lead pharmacy strategy across a dynamic health system in vibrant New Orleans.

Experience Qualifications

  • Required: 7 years of experience in Pharmacy related settings.
  • Required: 2 years of managerial experience.

LICENSE

  • Required: Licensed Pharmacist through the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy.
