Job Summary And Responsibilities

As a Director of Facilities, you will provide strategic leadership and dedicated oversight for all facility operations, ensuring a safe, efficient, and well‑maintained environment crucial to our organization's success. Every day you will expertly manage maintenance, security, and environmental services, oversee capital projects, develop and implement preventative maintenance programs, and meticulously ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. To be successful, you will demonstrate outstanding organizational and problem‑solving skills, strong leadership capabilities, and a proactive, meticulous demeanor, contributing significantly to a functional, aesthetically pleasing, and safe operational setting.

Responsibilities

  • Manage operations of facility management by conducting monthly department meetings, ensuring reports are delivered in a timely manner, providing a working environment that meets all regulatory compliance, and completing and maintaining all key performance indicators.
  • Develop capital and operational budgets, verify and assure appropriate use of staff, materials, supplies, and vendors.
  • Responsible for financial performance of areas managed by attaining all expense budgets and cost containment targets; assuring adherence to expenditure authority; and forwarding all appropriate PO’s, invoices, and financial details to the appropriate sources; increasing GPO contract compliance and consolidating service contracts at the division level.
  • Ensure all maintenance procedures meet all applicable codes, standards, or equipment requirements.
  • Recruit, train, and develop staff; hold all necessary staff meetings and conduct or sponsor education; perform mid‑year and annual performance evaluations.
  • Develop an ongoing communication plan with staff, leadership, and customers; conduct necessary meetings with facility administration and forward all positive and negative customer/vendor communications; assure client reports are delivered in a timely manner to CSH Divisional leadership.

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 7–9 years minimum progressive leadership experience.
  • 4–6 years minimum in hospital maintenance / medical equipment operations management.
  • Experience in construction, safety, and security.

Preferred

  • Certified Healthcare Facilities Manager.
  • Certified Health Care Compliance.

Pay Range

$52.02 – $77.38 /hour
