As the philanthropic arm of the PGA of America, PGA REACH is committed to transforming lives through the game of golf, championing youth development, empowering military veterans, and advancing access and inclusion across the golf industry. This exceptional executive leadership opportunity, based in Frisco, Texas at the Home of the PGA, offers the chance to drive meaningful national impact while elevating the Foundation’s mission and reach.
POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer of the PGA of America, the ED serves as the leader of the PGA of America REACH Foundation, providing strategic, financial, and operational leadership to advance its mission of positively impacting lives through the game of golf. This forward‑facing leader will guide fundraising strategy, program execution, financial stewardship, and organizational growth while strengthening national alignment across PGA of America leadership, the Foundation Board of Directors, Trustees, and 41 PGA Sections and their charitable foundations.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative and direct leader who builds trust while setting clear expectations and fostering a culture of accountability, mentorship, and shared ownership. They will drive sustainable revenue growth, expand program impact across youth, Veteran, inclusion, and access initiatives, and ensure strong governance and operational excellence. As a senior leader within the broader PGA of America ecosystem, the ED operates with significant visibility and influence, leveraging the reach and network of more than 30,000 PGA of America Golf Professionals to deepen community engagement and philanthropic impact nationwide.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team, fostering a collaborative and accountable culture that empowers staff, sets clear performance expectations, and drives measurable outcomes aligned with PGA REACH’s mission and strategic goals.
- Serve as the leader of the PGA of America REACH Foundation, overseeing strategy, administration, fundraising, programs, financial performance, and marketing.
- Provide direct supervision for senior PGA REACH staff.
- Lead development and execution of the Foundation’s strategic plan in partnership with the PGA of America executive leadership team, Board of Directors, and Foundation Trustees.
- Oversee preparation and management of the annual budget, endowments, cash flow, financial reporting, and IRS Form 990.
- Drive comprehensive fundraising strategy, including cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major individual, foundation, and corporate donors.
- Align national mission and programming with 41 PGA Sections and affiliated Section Foundations.
- Ensure effective program evaluation systems and measurable impact reporting across Foundation pillars.
- Serve as an ambassador for the Foundation through community engagement, fundraising events, and governance activities.
- Foster a values‑based, inclusive organizational culture and uphold shared values across the team.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required; master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience.
- 5+ years of executive level nonprofit management experience.
- Proven success in nonprofit fundraising strategy and donor relations.
- Knowledge of non‑profit compliance.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, reserves, and financial performance.
- Tech savvy – working knowledge of Salesforce and Google Workspace.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage executives, boards, donors, and cross‑functional teams.
- Highly detailed, strategic thinker with strong analytical, problem‑solving, and change management capabilities.
- Proven ability to lead inclusively, collaborate across stakeholders, and develop high‑performing teams.

- Up to 30% travel annually to support fundraising, governance, and programmatic initiatives across the country.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
