Role Description
We are seeking a full-time Program Director to oversee and manage the planning, delivery, and evaluation of our youth development programs. Based on-site in Westwood, NJ, the Program Director will lead a team of staff to ensure programs meet the organization’s mission and objectives. Responsibilities include supervising program staff, coordinating schedules, managing budgets, maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards, and fostering an inclusive and engaging atmosphere for children and families.
Qualifications
- 3+ Years Directing a Summer Camp
Oversee youth sports programming (school year) ensuring alignment with BYU standards and creating developmentally based experiences that are fun and engaging.
- Possess program development and strategic planning skills to design, implement, and assess educational and recreational activities.
- Demonstrate leadership, team management, and communication skills to mentor staff and facilitate effective collaboration.
- Experience in operations management, including budgeting, resource allocation, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with families, staff, and community partners.
- Knowledge of child development, education methods, and youth recreational programming is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Child Development, Recreation Management, or related field is highly desired.
- First aid and CPR certification is an asset.
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic and hands-on working environment.
