Job Overview
In collaboration with the Service Line Executive and Medical Leadership, the role is responsible for implementation of the strategic plan into site operations (inpatient, outpatient, testing, procedures, and clinic services as appropriate) for medical subspecialty service line. Ensures the delivery of consistently high levels of quality care and service that meet and/or exceed clinical expectations. Assures the coordination, direction, and collaboration of services and resources related to the service line as well as achieving productivity, financial and operational goals. Supports the mission and strategic direction for the service line in conjunction with the key stake holders.

- Identifies key stakeholders and understands the dynamic needs of the organization as relates to medical subspecialty service line.

- Provides financial leadership
- Manages Performance Improvement initiatives, including patient experience, cost/case, reducing variation in practice, and other quality improvement initiatives.
- Provides financial expertise and advice to service line senior and operational management.
- Serves as focal point for all service line analysis including budget variances, progress vs. plans\proformas, operating trends etc.
- Provides financial analysis related to existing or proposed financial models implemented to align incentives with physicians
- Supports Revenue Management and collaborates with Revenue Management to develop competitive pricing and contracting strategies related to service line.
- Partner with key stakeholders to support negotiations of contracts with third party payers.
- Supports Revenue Management in negotiating technology advances into contracts and developing prospective approaches to educating payers on efficacy of new devices, procedures, and protocols
Required Qualifications
- B.S./B.A. in healthcare, business or related field
- 5 years or more years of leadership experience in a complex organization including project management, collaborative decision-making, knowledge of healthcare and process skills.
- Experience leading physicians or multi-disciplinary teams to achieve desired outcomes
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters in Business Admin orMasters of Healthcare Admin
- Clinic/Ambulatory leadership experience
- Experience in an academic medical setting
- Specialty clinical background/knowledge
- Experience reporting to a governing board and business experience

Compensation Disclaimer
The posted pay range is for a 40-hour workweek (1.0 FTE). The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization values pay equity and considers the internal equity of our team when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical. If your role is eligible for a sign-on bonus, the bonus program that is approved and in place at the time of offer, is what will be honored.
