Babbel is hiring a talented Motion Graphics Designer / Videographer who thrives in a self-directed environment to join the hard-working, fast-paced, creatively-driven Video team. The ideal candidate will bring strong design and typographic sensibilities, animation expertise, and a comprehensive understanding of content production workflows- including the ability to shoot and edit videos. You will play a pivotal role in bringing our creative vision to life through various video and animation projects. You will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end process of video production, from conceptualization to execution and delivery. Hands-on experience in social content creation or self-produced projects is a big plus. Core Responsibilities Design and animate motion graphics projects from concept to delivery Create and utilize templates, MOGRTs, and automation solutions to streamline workflows Manage projects independently with minimal oversight Develop end-to-end content that maintains brand consistency and quality standards Collaborate with team members to deliver engaging visual content Occasionally shoot and edit social and paid social content pieces Required Skills & Experience Motion Graphics & Animation Strong foundation in typography and typographic animation Familiarity with automation tools and solutions (MOGRTs, templates, etc.) Ability to work efficiently and think modularly A passion for storytelling with design and motion Design Fundamentals Solid understanding of graphic design principles Excellent sense of typography, color theory, and design proportion Ability to apply design principles across various formats and applications Content Creation Comfortable shooting and editing short-form videos Comfortable with the basics of content production (color correction, audio, editing, music) Project Management Comfortable self-managing projects and timelines Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Understanding of content production workflows Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members effectively. Software Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and other relevant solutions (let us know what you can do!) We'd love to hear about your experience with any of the following: AI Integration : Experience incorporating AI solutions into motion graphics or other production workflows High End Video Production : Ability to shoot, record audio, and edit video content with anything other than a phone Advanced Automation : Familiarity with graphics automation tools and scripts (understanding how they integrate into workflows—no scripting knowledge required) UX/UI Animation : Experience creating animations for user interfaces and user experiences Video best practices : Experience with best practices for various formats and platforms - from paid to organic social - YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, etc. A passion for language learning : Babbel is a community of lifelong learners and people with a passion for languages - being bilingual is not a job requirement, but a passion for learning is a plus!
