Richmond, United States | Posted on 03/09/2026 Our client is seeking a personable, detail-oriented Videographer/Photographer to capture high-quality visual content for real estate listings and marketing campaigns located in the Tri‑City area of Richmond, Virginia. This role focuses on on‑site content capture and client‑facing professionalism, with all post‑production handled internally. This is a part‑time, project‑based role averaging approximately 10–20 hours per week , with the potential to grow based on performance and business demand. We are prioritizing personality, professionalism, and coachability over years of experience . The ideal candidate is friendly, reliable, and eager to learn, with a strong eye for visual composition and a commitment to delivering a premium client experience. This role is offered on a project‑based contractual basis . The successful candidate will operate as an independent contractor (1099) and will be engaged for individual shoots and projects as they arise. Contractors are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and business expenses unless otherwise agreed. Key Responsibilities Content Capture & Delivery Capture professional real estate photography and videography, including interiors, exteriors, lifestyle content, and aerial footage (where licensed). Follow established shot lists, brand standards, and capture protocols to ensure consistent, high‑quality output. Organize, label, and upload raw content according to internal file structure and timelines. Client Experience & On‑Site Professionalism Represent our client with a polished, friendly, and professional presence at all shoots. Communicate clearly with real estate agents, homeowners, and team members to ensure smooth and efficient sessions. Provide light direction to agents or homeowners during filming to achieve the best visual results while maintaining a positive experience. Equipment & Technical Handling Safely operate and maintain camera equipment, lighting, audio gear, and drones (if applicable). Follow company standards for data handling, backups, and confidentiality. Stay current on real estate media trends, shooting techniques, and platform requirements. Work closely with internal creative and operations teams to align capture with brand standards and client expectations. Provide feedback on workflows and opportunities to improve efficiency and client satisfaction. Requirements Qualifications & Experience Interest or experience in photography and/or videography; real estate or lifestyle content is an asset but not required. Coachable, professional, and detail‑oriented with strong interpersonal skills. Basic familiarity with camera operation, composition, and lighting (training provided). Drone certification (FAA Part 107) is required for aerial work. Training support will be provided for the right candidate. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to attend on‑site shoots in Tri‑City area required. Candidates must be based within the Richmond Tri‑City area. Friendly, personable, and confident in client‑facing environments. Strong attention to detail and visual standards. Reliable, punctual, and organized with excellent time management. Creative eye for composition and storytelling. Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, schedule‑driven environment. Compensation $25/hour during training and internal work. Once independently shooting, compensation transitions to a per‑assignment model . Based on efficiency and shoot volume, shooters typically earn the equivalent of $30–$45/hour or more during active production .
