As a Post-Production Editor with Opry Entertainment Group (OEG), you'll transform raw footage into polished video content that shapes the visual narrative of our iconic brands. You'll manage the end-to end post-production workflow--from footage transfer and creative editing to color correction, audio mixing, and final delivery--with meticulous attention to file management and process efficiencies. As the ideal candidate, you bring a strong creative instinct and technical proficiency, capable of conceptualizing and generating video content that establishes mood and supports the creative direction of each project. Reports to Director of Production.
- Set up and configure post-production projects while establishing the visual style and narrative tone through editorial, color grading, and technical creative decisions that align with OEG's brand standards.
- Manage all phases of post-production from initial footage ingest through final delivery, ensuring projects stay on schedule and meet quality benchmarks throughout the process.
- Edit video content by transferring footage into editing systems, organizing media assets with logical naming conventions and folder structures for efficient retrieval and collaboration.
- Render and export finalized content in technically optimized formats tailored to each distribution platform (social media, broadcast, web, digital displays) while maintaining quality standards.
- Design and mix final audio, including dialogue enhancement, music bed selection, sound effects, and voiceover integration to elevate storytelling and create immersive viewer experiences.
- Collaborate with producers and clients as a creative contributor offering informed recommendations and creative solutions.
- Stay current with industry-standard editing software and emerging post-production technologies to maintain competitive technical capabilities.
- Continuously refine post-production workflows, file organization systems, and project templates to maximize productivity and maintain consistent quality across all deliverables.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Degree in Communications, or Digital Media preferred
- 4+ years' experience in video editing environment required
- Experience with music video, long form documentary style, reality form, and promo editing preferred
- Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Able to communicate creative decisions clearly and incorporate feedback in support of strategic objectives
- Strong organizational and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Understanding of pacing, rhythm, and narrative structure
- Proven success working independently and in collaborative, team-driven environments
- Proficient with professional digital video equipment and Premiere Pro, Adobe Suite and After Effects editing software
Physical Requirements
Speak and hear to communicate and use both near and far vision. Frequently sit with some walking and standing. Frequently lift/carry up to 25 lbs. Continually use gross motor skills with frequent use of bimanual dexterity and fine motor skills for computer use.
Working Conditions
In-office position based in a corporate environment with individual workspaces and shared common areas which support focused work while encouraging regular interaction among colleagues. Moderate background noise typical of a collaborative office setting.
