Customer Service Representative $17/hr
Seeking a Representative to support a high‑volume healthcare call center. This role is ideal for someone who communicates with clarity and compassion, learns systems quickly, and thrives in a structured, service‑driven environment.
Schedule
+ Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
+ Work‑from‑home eligibility available after training based on performance and attendance (not guaranteed).
Job Description
+ Handle inbound and outbound calls in a blended call center environment while professionally representing the assigned healthcare organization.
+ Assist patients with self‑pay balances, secure payment processing, insurance updates, charge explanations, and dispute resolution.
+ Conduct outbound reminder campaigns to collect outstanding balances and encourage timely payments.
+ Build strong working knowledge of the healthcare client's operations, including payment options, eligibility requirements, financial assistance programs, and instructions for mail‑in or onsite payments.
+ Provide clear, empathetic guidance to patients regarding billing questions, insurance status, statements, and next steps.
+ Accurately document all patient interactions in accordance with HIPAA, internal policies, and client requirements.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook).
+ Ability to learn and navigate multiple client systems quickly and efficiently.
+ Strong oral and written communication skills with articulate, professional delivery.
+ Comfortable speaking with patients over the phone for extended periods.
+ Self‑motivated, dependable, and committed to positive customer service practices.
Education & Experience
+ Minimum 1 year of call center experience, with emphasis on outbound contact.
+ Minimum 1 year of experience in physician billing, health insurance, or hospital billing; understanding of medical insurance terminology required.
+ High school diploma or GED required.
