Your key responsibilities:

You will greet customers, run the register, cashier, make purchase suggestions and sometimes work with our food program. There is never a dull moment as you will be working around the store (inside and out) in many different areas to help maintain our high standards for store appearance and provide fast and friendly service to our customers.

Provide regular and predicable onsite attendance.

You will interact with many customers daily, all while working with a fun, energetic team accomplishing daily tasks around the store!

You are good at:

* Selling products to customers\n* Providing excellent customer care\n* Communication and friendly conversation\n* Performing at a quick pace while having fun\n* Working as part of a team to accomplish daily goals\n* Coming up with great ideas to solve problems\n* Thinking quickly and offering suggestions

Great if you have:

* Retail and customer service experience\n* Sales associate or cashiering experience\n* High school diploma or equivalent\n* Motivation to advance in your career!\n* Willingness to learn and have fun!

Physical Requirements:

* Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours\n* Lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds from ground to overhead up to 30 minutes in a shift\n* Occasionally lift and/or carry up to 60 pounds from ground to waist level\n* Push/pull with arms up to a force of 20 pounds\n* Bend at the waist with some twisting up to one hour a shift\n* Grasp, reach and manipulate objects with hands. This handwork requires eye-hand coordination, and may require climbing a ladder to store and retrieve materials or place and remove signs

The Dining Services Director assures that the kitchen and associates meet all regulatory requirements and maintains quality food service within budget.\nEssential Functions of the Dining Services Director\nResponsible for dietary department in all its aspects.\nPlans menus via Grove Menu system.\nPurchase foods and supplies; Inventories and supervises storage of incoming food and supplies.\nPrints production sheets; prepares and pulls recipes for utilization by cook team.\nPrepares meals according to planned menus, including any special diet requirements.\nFollows standardized recipes and special diet orders.\nMaintains safe and sanitary dietary department.\nDirects and instructs dietary personnel.\nAssists and directs daily scheduled cleaning duties.\nServes food according to portion control.\nSchedules hours and assigns duties to dietary associates.\nCheck food and supplies for next meals.\nParticipates in special events planning and preparation.\nMaintains equipment, including dishes, cookware, utensils, supplies, and reorders items when needed.\nParticipates in required meetings, training, and associate programs.\nMay be required to participate in weekend Manager on Duty (MOD).\nPerforms other related duties as assigned by supervisor.\nNon-Essential Functions of the Dining Services Director\nSupports and participates in the resident centered activity programs.\nParticipates in projects or committees as assigned.\nAttends all associate meetings including in-service education and associate functions, as requested by supervisor.\nAssists in variety of tasks involving residents as assigned.\nKnowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Experience\nHigh school Diploma or GED at minimum with some specialized training in food service.\nAbility to read, write, and speak English.\nContinued education in food service preferred including RD, CDM, or Culinary Degree.\nServ-Safe Certification Class.\nTwo years minimum experience in food service management preferably in a health care setting.\nBe free from communicable disease.\nCompletion of drug testing and criminal background check upon hire and upon request of supervisor.\nMust be able to cook and follow standard recipes.\nPhysical requirements include bending, standing, lifting, stooping, sitting, stretching, carrying, and walking; and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds.\nMust have manual dexterity to peel, cut, and prepare different types of food; Ability to work with a variety of kitchen machinery.\nAbility to accept constructive input as to the quality of your meals/cooking.\nAbility to relate to residents and associates in a courteous and diplomatic manner under all circumstances.\nFamiliarity with restaurant or cafeteria-style organization in regard to food preparation and service, purchasing, staff scheduling, food, and labor cost control as well as quality control.\nExperience in record keeping and menu planning.\nAble to relate to residents and associates in a courteous and diplomatic manner under all circumstances.\nAdhere to and carry out all policies and procedures.\nThere is no greater way to elevate your career than by contributing your passion and skill to a senior living community.
