Position Summary: Uses proven sales tools and techniques when pulling routes to achieve Team sales goals. Ensures the effective merchandising of all products in accordance with Corporate Merchandising Policy/Handbook.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Uses sales tools and training to take adequate inventory in order to make proper recommendations of each account’s product needs and to maintain properly stocked inventory levels
Uses SED training to close sales solicitation of displays, new products and packages, draught placements, shelf facings, POS, and price points
Follows and enforces Anheuser Busch equity agreement and other supplier contract Code Date policies
Follows corporate Sales and Merchandising Standards guidelines to ensure the merchandising of all corporate products including restocking to avoid out-of-stock, making minor legal space adjustments, building displays, installing, placing and providing P.O.S. and pricing product as allowed by retailers
Provides effective communication with all Sales personnel to ensure closure of sales, maintaining good customer relations and a decisive competitive edge in order to maximize sales
Completes all administrative duties, verify Sales Reps truck inventory, Mobility route book entries, sinking on a timely basis as specified by the company, etc
Spends 70% of the time filling in for Sales Specialist II and 30% of the time efficiently running Sales Representative route
Notifies Area Sales Manager of all pertinent changes in the retail trade to include: file maintenance, license updates, route scheduling, competitive activity, and other requirements required by management
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred
Two years of previous beverage experience (Direct Store Delivery)
Good communication skills
Able to obtain and maintain Class A-CDL, and medical card
Able to handle alcohol, and work within T.A.B.C Guidelines
A valid Texas drivers license with a driving record acceptable under company Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) guidelines
A dependable personal motor vehicle, suitable for work use, and capable of transporting up to 20 cases of product and/or display materials
Must maintain current, personal auto liability insurance and provide proof of coverage
Intermediate computer knowledge in MS Word, Outlook, Excel and Power Point. Margin Minder and Mobility knowledge preferred
Must have a cell phone with data capability
Physical Requirement:
Talk, hear, and see (including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus)
Continuous standing and walking, up to 8 hours at a time
Continuous lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling 20-161lbs
Ability to operate a two or four-wheel dolly
Must be able to push 300lbs dolly load and move 161lb kegs
Must be able to safely operate a pallet jack
Frequent driving distances between 0-75 miles in one sitting
Frequent climbing, pushing, pulling and maneuvering dolly/hand truck
Working Conditions:
All weather conditions (indoor & outdoor) including high temperatures, cool/cold temperatures, wind, ice, humidity, rain, fog, hail, sleet and snow
Daylight, twilight, evening and dark lighting conditions
Noise, vibration, dust, dirt, airborne particles, fumes
Work hours will vary daily due to business needs
