Summary Proactively develop client relationships through the effective use of profiles and established bank sales processes. Coordinate bank resources to assist clients in achieving financial goals while providing products and services that generate profit for the bank. Provide excellent service while managing relationships over time to maximize client retention.

Sales
Performs various sales activities approximately 80% of the time.
Maximize customer sales opportunities by cross selling accounts and services as appropriate.
Expand portfolio relationships with high-value customers via profiling, identifying needs, and offering solutions; build relationships and request the business.
Provide qualified investment referrals to appropriate branch personnel.
Sell credit life and disability insurance, if licensed.
Understand and effectively sell against the competitive market.
Use internal prospect lists to make outbound calls.
Obtain referrals from existing and high-value clients.
Provide quality, personalized service to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
Participate in sales, product knowledge, and service meetings.
May assist Territory Manager and Branch Manager in outside sales activities.
Act as backup to other sales personnel to ensure effective customer service and office coverage.
Represent the Bank at community events.
Identify mortgage loan needs and refer opportunities to mortgage lender.
Stay current on business and economic events or conditions.
Demonstrate understanding of financial concepts and make appropriate recommendations; refer tax implications to a tax advisor when appropriate.
Operations
Open and close the branch.
Open new accounts and perform deposit account maintenance; respond to customers promptly; be knowledgeable of all bank products; ensure forms are completed accurately and disclosures provided.
Provide information on consumer loan products; quote rates, take loan applications, and close loans accurately.
Open and maintain IRAs; advise customers about IRA issues.
Utilize technology to complete client files and paperwork accurately.
Provide timely follow-up to clients by phone, mail, or in person.
Act in an operational supervisory role to ensure effective customer service and office coverage.
Exercise good judgment when waiving fees or negotiating rates.
Monitor work for quality and accuracy, including CIP compliance.
Provide feedback on client concerns and product features/pricing.
Qualifications Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent and at least two years in banking (or two years in a related sales position). Undergraduate degree in a related field preferred. Proven effective sales ability and exceptional customer service skills required. Thorough knowledge of financial concepts. Knowledge of desktop automation tools.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
This position may require registration through the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) under the SAFE Act of 2008. Active NMLS ID in good standing or willingness to register prior to start date. Employment contingent upon successful registration and annual re-registration.
Physical Requirements The physical requirements are representative of those necessary to perform the essential functions. Reasonable accommodations may be made.
Regularly stand, walk, sit, and talk or hear. Occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds. Close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel to different branch locations as needed.
