The Marketing Department of the Archdiocese of Baltimore supports the communications and marketing needs of the Archdiocesan evangelization and charitable initiatives, the Department of Catholic Schools’ enrollment and advancement efforts, and Catholic Review magazine.
We are seeking a motivated, reliable, and creative Marketing Intern to support our digital marketing, social media, and public relations efforts. This internship offers hands‑on experience in content creation, campaign execution, and performance analysis within a mission‑driven organization.
Essential Functions
Assist with managing and growing AOB’s social media presence across multiple platforms
Support paid marketing campaigns and public relations initiatives
Research, track, and report on the effectiveness of marketing and social media efforts
Propose relevant and timely content ideas aligned with AOB’s mission and audiences
Create channel‑specific social media content to engage diverse communities
Schedule and publish content using native platform tools and, preferably, third‑party social media management platforms
Write clear, engaging copy for digital and print communications
Create basic graphics using tools such as Canva or Adobe Photoshop
Monitor online activity from AOB parishes, schools, and affiliated organizations to identify newsworthy stories and topics of interest
Provide general support for marketing and communications operations, including:
Research projects
Meeting coordination and scheduling
Invoice tracking and administrative assistance
Assist with marketing and communications needs for AOB offices related to enrollment, recruitment, and retention, as needed
Position Qualifications
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising or a related field.
Familiarity with major social media platforms and content best practices
Basic graphic design experience (Canva, Photoshop, or similar tools)
Highly organized, dependable, and detail‑oriented
Pay Rate: This is an unpaid Internship.
